The installation of COLETANCHE is easy thanks to its mechanical, technical performances and its resistance. The geomembrane is compatible with the majority of substrate materials. It also adapts to ground movement and differential settlement.
❶ LAYING ROLLS OF COLETANCHE WATERPROOFING GEOMEMBRANE
The COLETANCHE® membrane is unrolled using a manual or hydraulic beam.
It is simple and easy for a small specialised team to install.
❷ WELDING THE WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE
Manual welding is completed with a gas torch.
The protective film should be removed from the overlap area.
❸ ANCHORING AND ATTACHING THE MEMBRANE
The geomembrane can also be welded directly to concrete substrates. The flexibility of COLETANCHE® makes it easy to complete detailed points on site:
- attaching to a metal manhole cover,
- other types of membranes,
- PVC pipe,
- metal post.
❹ CHECKING WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE QUALITY
Depending on the contract specifications and/or the commitments outlined in the QAP (Quality Assurance Plan), two types of controls can be completed:
- check of all welds,
- static check of a certain percentage of the weld line.
Always check the first welds.
❺ COVERING THE COLETANCHE
The COLETANCHE® membrane can be covered with most materials:
- Hot rolled asphalt, bituminous mix, asphalt of temp. 150-160°C.;
- Concrete and interlocking paving stones;
- Riprap and gabions;
- Ballasts;
- Other geomembranes of different materials.
